Chennai-based company KCP Ltd has delivered an integrated air drop test - crew module structure to ISRO for the Gaganyaan mission. The first module, made of aluminium and weighing 3,120 kgs, will be used to demonstrate the technology readiness for the human space flight programme. The structure, which accommodates various subsystems, was fabricated by KCP Ltd, while the design was done by ISRO. The Gaganyaan mission aims to launch a crew of two or three members into orbit for a 3-day mission and safely return them to Earth.
