Jobs returning, unemployment rate back at pre-lockdown levels

The unemployment rate fell to its pre-lockdown level of 8.5% in the week ended June 21, led by big gains in the rural areas, economic think tank Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) said.
