Google is leading a $36m funding round for Indian satellite-image startup, Pixxel. The Bengaluru-based company is constructing a satellite constellation able to recognise mineral deposits and analyse the productivity of crops via an image's spectral signature. Clients include mining giant Rio Tinto and Australian agritech firm DataFarming.
