The US state department is reportedly set to announce a pilot program that will allow a small number of Indians and other foreign workers on H-1B visas to renew them in the United States, without having to travel abroad. Indian citizens are the most active users of the US H-1B program, and made up 73% of the nearly 442,000 H-1B workers in FY2022.
