It currently takes about three hours to commute from Navi Mumbai to Mumbai. The Maharashtra government plans to change that by the end of the year, with the launch of a 22 km sea-bridge connecting the two, which should bring down the travel time to just a few minutes. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde tells NDTV that the "bridge will save fuel, time and bring a lot of convenience to the public."
