Restaurants cook up own deliveries to reduce costs

Desperation led to rebooting of the delivery side of the food business, said Gauri Devidayal, co-founder of Food Matters Group, which runs ‘The Table’ in south Mumbai. An ignored part of the business until last year when Covid struck, restaurateurs had resigned deliveries to food tech aggregators.
