US SEC sues Morningstar over ratings of securities

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Tuesday sued Morningstar Credit Ratings LLC for allegedly violating US securities laws in its ratings of commercial mortgage-backed securities, the regulator said in a statement.
