Govt unveils eco stimulus pkg to spur demand

Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday announced an additional allocation of Rs 37K crore towards capital expenditure, hoping to trigger the demand of Rs 1 lakh crore. The impact will depend on how many govt employees opt for this scheme. Sitharaman has placed a lot of reliance on states and private sector taking a cue from the Centre to and come up with similar schemes.
