The government has prescribed a minimum spacing of one metre between personnel manning counters at airports where passengers need to queue up like security, immigration and customs. Staffers providing these vital services have been categorised as being at “low risk” and advised to use triple layer masks and gloves while on the job, according to the health ministry’s “guidelines on rational use of personal protective equipment (PPE)”.
