More airfare shocks ahead as jet fuel price raised

Airfares have been high ever since Jet reduced flights from earlier this year and then shot up tremendously after it suspended operations on April 17. The govt has requested other airlines to augment capacity to help bring fares down from runaway levels. Oil companies have raised jet fuel prices by 2.5% for May, after recent rise in crude oil cost and depreciation of rupee.
