Sensex loses 200 points, Nifty now under 10,900

The 30-share BSE index was slightly higher, gaining 45 points, at the opening bell but started slipping almost immediately and lost 200 points within first 15 minutes of trading. At 9.40 am, the gauge was sown 196.90 points at 36,108.12. The broader 50-share NSE Nifty cracked below another key mark -- that of 10,900 points.
