India's unemployment rate hit 45-year high in 2017-18: Report

The assessment by the National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) conducted between July 2017-June 2018, showed the unemployment rate stood at 6.1 per cent, the highest since 1972-73, the newspaper reported. Logins and biometrics of their Aadhaar operators have been misused to generate unauthorised Aadhaar cards, bank officials informed UIDAI. Countering the charge, UIDAI said, “Aadhaar database is fully secured and no security breach, biometric or otherwise, has taken place.”
